Management Philosophy

McCleary Grade School currently uses the school wide citizenship program "Make Your Day" which encourages developing an internal locus of control and teaches students to take responsiblity for their choices.

Aside from this, I believe that expectations should be clear and consequences should be logical. Our classroom functions as a large family and uses many democratic principles. Students come to understand that with guidelines come security. Just as in our country we must follow specific rules (laws) in order to protect the safety and well-being of all citizens, in our classroom, we must adhere to specific guidelines in order to maintain the learning, safety and well-being of everyone in our class.
